I highly recommend Goddard's. They did a meticulous job painting the inside of our home (ceiling, walls, trim, doors). In addition, we had them white wash our fire place. It turned out gorgeous! What was impressive about this particular job was the timing. We had a 10 day window between the closing of the property we sold and the property we were moving to. Their crew had everything done in 7 days!We were so pleased with their workmanship and how friendly and efficient their crews were that a few months later we decided to update our kitchen and had them paint our cabinets and island. They turned out beautiful... looks like a new kitchen!
In addition to painting, we've had Goddard's complete some minor carpentry projects and they cleaned and fixed the gutters on our house.
When it is time to paint the outside of our house, we'll be using Goddard's!

I've been a customer of Goddard's for what seems like my whole life.
Richard, the owner, is a master of his craft. He knows how to help you, but not push you. Richard is incredibly knowledgeable and quick to solve issues that I thought were going to be a problem. We have used Goddards for countless jobs, including refinishing two bathrooms, interior painting, a kitchen remodel, expanding the entrance you our attic, installation of a new roof, and the biggest project - finishing 1,000 sq feet of basement that included a bathroom, gym area, kids play area, office space with custom built ins, and a family room space. All of the Goddard's team are friendly, hardworking, and always clean up after themselves.
I can't say enough about this company. There is a reason they're been in business as long as they have- they know what they are doing, they do it well, and they're priced very well.

When hiring any type of contractors, like most, we look for quality, value, and professionalism. The folks at Goddard’s hit the mark on all three. Their quality was fabulous. They came in, evaluated the situation and have me great feedback and suggestions. They came in to do the work without delay. Wow, with no delay!!!! They worked hard and got the job done. They workers were friendly and professional.

I have known Richard Goddard and many of the folks that work for him for about 3 years. Someone on the community Facebook page for Reading, MA recommended him for a master bathroom build/ remodel. We had received a quote from another builder in town that was not really what we asked for and was way to expensive. Richard showed up the same day we contacted him, worked with the existing plans (in fact he enhanced them), quoted us a fair price, was very flexible, and came in with a project completion that was on time and at the exact price he quoted. The quality of the work was exemplary.
Since that first job, Richard and his team has also redone our kitchen (which was also completed as advertised and on time) and completely painted our house (exterior), including carpentry work to fix the trim, etc… Richard also stands behind his word and is very responsive to questions and concerns. We recently had our house appraised in connection with a mortgage refinance and all the with Richard completed significantly increased the value consistent with the money we spend having him do the work.
Based on all of the above, I highly recommend his serviced.
Richard is a fantastic guy to work with, especially if you are the hands on type that likes to be involved in the day to day process of your project. I am and believe it paid dividends with the results.
